  • Altimeter (Pitot Static System)
  • Airspeed Indicator (Pitot Static System)
  • Vertical Speed Indicator (Pitot Static System)
  • Attitude Indicator (Gyroscopic System)
  • Heading Indicator (Gyroscopic System)
  • Turn Coordinator (Gyroscopic System)

Pilots can obtain the required commercial training experience in a Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA), in lieu of a complex aircraft.  TAA is defined as an airplane equipped with an electronically advanced avionics system that includes the following components: (1) an Electronic Primary Flight Display (PFD) representing airspeeds, attitude, heading and altimeter gauges in a digital display, (2) an electronic multi-function display (MFD) that includes a moving map using GPS navigation to display the aircraft’s position, and (3) a two axis autopilot integrated with the navigation and heading system.  The PFD and MFD must be continuously visible.

For example, the average Cessna at your nearby flight school may not have a modern audio panel which makes it LESS likely to be heard clearly by other aircraft.  Our Piper Cherokees have modern avionics and audio panels resulting in fewer communication issues.  If you can count it, use "fewer."
